J.M. Barrie may have based the character of Peter Pan on his older brother David, who died in an ice-skating accident the day before his 14th birthday.  J.M. Barrie and his mother thought of him as a boy forever.

A beautiful world for children was created and sustained out of a tragedy.  I find something all the more wonderous in the story after learning the truth within the story.  Proving the why is sometimes as important as what is created.

It is every artist or writer's dream to create something that lives long after they do.  A moment and bond that resonates with someone else and lasts far longer than your existence.

"Fiction is the truth inside the lie."

- Stephen King
